WESTPAC LIFE SAVER RESCUE HELICOPTER - COASTAL CHARITY WALKS 2017

The sun is rising on a crisp May morning at the most easterly point of Australia and as the surfers cross the sand with board underarm, walkers are assembling near the Byron Bay Surf Club ready to take on the Coastal Charity Walk for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter (www.helirescue.com.au). The route follows the coast line along mixed terrain with stunning scenery from Byron Bay to Broken Head (12km), Lennox Head (24km) and finishing at Ballina Surf Life Saving Club (35km).

In June the second Coastal Charity Walk takes place offering a more rugged track along the dramatic coast line of the Coffs Coast. With breathtaking views over 21kms, the walking trail follows the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk on sand, cliff top tracks and harbour side paths.

Fuelling stations – water, fruit, lollies and food for purchase – are provided along the way for nourishment and your walk will be fully supported by the helirescue crew, event staff and volunteers.

As the Coastal Charity Walks are fundraising events, a set donation is included into your entry fee to help support the life saving work that the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter performs across northern NSW.

The most spectacular train race in the world...

Billed as the “most spectacular train race in the world”, this 18km ‘man verses machine’ event is popular with locals and a growing out of town contingent.

Whilst the Kuranda Scenic Rail Train follows a 31km trip though tunnels and over bridges in its climb to Kuranda, the runners take a more direct route from Freshwater Rail Station across the cane fields of the Barron Delta to enter the World Heritage Barron Gorge Nation Park at Stony Creek in Kamerunga.

Runners then negotiate the Douglas & MacDonald tracks with some challenging but spectacular trail running, rejoining the sealed road at Wright’s Lookout for the final 5km into Kuranda, finishing on the banks of the Barron River just below the Kuranda Rail Station.

Terrific Treadmill

I recently purchased a Superstar treadmill to replace my old treadmill that stopped working. The whole process was seamless from the support I received deciding on my purchase, to delivery and answering any questions I had setting it up.
The treadmill itself is really easy to use and runs well. The app is great, I have been exploring the many work out options available and it is a real motivator on the fitness journey. Thank you for such a great experience purchasing and for a great product.

Endurance Athlete Treadmill

I recently came across Endurance Treadmills during their Easter special promotion. After going through many genuine customer reviews, I decided to purchase the Marathon Treadmill. A day after placing my order, I received a call informing me that the Marathon model had sold out. However, they kindly offered me the Athlete model at no extra cost — a gesture I truly appreciated. After using the Athlete Treadmill for a few weeks now, I can confidently say that I am very happy with my purchase. Setup was incredibly straightforward — simply unbox, unfold, and secure with just two screws, and it’s ready to go. The machine itself has a compact size that fits well in my space, yet the running belt is generously wide and long, offering a comfortable experience. The motor runs very quietly, making it perfect for home use. The phone and tablet holder is a handy addition, though I do wish it could accommodate larger tablets like the iPad Pro. The console is easy to use, with a responsive touchscreen, and I particularly like that I can download the app to synchronize my workouts with my Apple Watch — a great feature for tracking progress. Overall, the Endurance Athlete Treadmill has exceeded my expectations, both in terms of build quality and user experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professional-grade treadmill for home use!
