Whether it’s to support patients returning to sport or whether the patient had a hamstring tear or an ankle sprain. The particular exercise they recommend their patients to do is a little range of motion exercise. They do it particularly with patients recovering knee surgery that can't really bend their knee up.

Basically, the patients will do the so-called half cycles. They use their healthy leg to be the driver. The other leg is just like a passenger, rocking back and forth to get a little bit more movement. After a week, if the patients find out they've got more than 100 degrees of knee flexion, then they will be able to start pedalling around. It's quite a milestone for them and they get really excited.
