Endurance Treadmill
(endurancetreadmill.com.au) and NordicTrack (nordictrack.com), both brands have their strengths and appeal to different types of users, depending on fitness goals, budget, and specific product preferences. Here’s an in-depth comparison of these two treadmill brands and their offerings in Australia:

1. Product Range and Quality

  • Endurance Treadmills (Endurance Fitness):
    • Range: Endurance Fitness offers a niche focus on home fitness equipment, with a good selection of treadmills, exercise bikes, and rowing machines. They tend to provide a range of affordable to mid-rangemodels suitable for casual home users, walkers, and light joggers.
    • Quality: Endurance treadmills are generally well-reviewed for their solid build and reliability at their price point. They offer strong motors (typically around 2.5 to 3.0 HP) and good shock absorption systems to reduce joint impact, which is important for long-term use. However, they may not always feature the advanced tech or premium feel of higher-end brands.
    • Popular Models: Endurance TR5000, Endurance T900, Endurance T1500.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Range: NordicTrack offers a wide range of high-tech treadmills and fitness equipment, with models designed for both beginner and advanced fitness levels. Their offerings span from entry-level to premium, smart treadmills with advanced technology such as iFit integration, touchscreen displays, incline/decline features, and high-powered motors.
    • Quality: NordicTrack is known for delivering premium quality with advanced features, including larger running surfaces, powerful motors, and smart features like iFit (which provides interactive training programs and global workouts). Their machines are suitable for users who want to get the most out of their workouts, with modern technology and durability.
    • Popular Models: NordicTrack Commercial 1750, NordicTrack T Series, NordicTrack EXP 14i.

2. Pricing and Value for Money

  • Endurance Treadmills:
    • Pricing: Endurance treadmills are generally more affordable than NordicTrack’s offerings, particularly for those looking for a budget-friendly or mid-range treadmill. Their prices cater more towards casual users or people who want a reliable treadmill without spending too much.
    • Value for Money: Endurance offers good value for money for those on a budget or who don’t need all the extra tech features. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable treadmill for walking or light jogging, they provide solid options without the premium price tag.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Pricing: NordicTrack tends to be more expensive, especially for the higher-end models with interactive features. The cost reflects the advanced technology, premium construction, and extra features (like incline/decline, touchscreens, and iFit subscription services).
    • Value for Money: While the upfront cost is higher, NordicTrack machines generally offer better long-term value for users who want advanced features, top-tier performance, and a more interactive workout experience. The iFit service is often included with their machines, adding even more value with personalized workouts.

3. Technology and Features

  • Endurance Treadmills:
    • Technology: Endurance treadmills generally feature basic consoles with the ability to adjust speed and incline, as well as a few built-in workout programs. While these models are functional, they lack the advanced tech found in high-end treadmills.
    • Notable Features:
      • Adjustable inclines (usually 10-15% range)
      • Basic digital consoles
      • Solid motors for basic running or walking
    • Limited Interactive Features: Endurance doesn’t offer much in terms of interactive training, live classes, or app integration beyond basic tracking.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Technology: NordicTrack is known for its innovative technology, offering interactive touchscreens, iFit integration, decline/incline adjustments, and smart speed adjustments. iFit allows for global workout routes, guided programs, and progress tracking, creating an interactive, immersive experience.
    • Notable Features:
      • iFit compatibility for personalized workouts
      • Large HD touchscreen displays (varies by model)
      • Auto-adjust incline/decline (on select models)
      • Smart workout tracking and integration with apps
      • Built-in sound systems and better connectivity options
    • Highly Interactive: The advanced technology in NordicTrack treadmills is a key selling point for users who want to make their workouts more engaging and interactive.

4. Customer Service and Warranty

  • Endurance Treadmills:
    • Customer Service: Endurance Fitness receives generally positive reviews for customer service, with users appreciating the helpfulness of staff. However, response times can sometimes be slow during high-demand periods.
    • Warranty: Endurance typically offers 2-10 years warranty depending on the model, with limited coveragefor specific parts (e.g., frame, motor, etc.). The warranty is considered adequate but not as extensive as some higher-end brands.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Customer Service: NordicTrack has a mixed reputation for customer service. Some customers report positive experiences, while others complain about slow response times or difficulties with returns or warranty claims. The higher complexity of their products may lead to more issues during setup and maintenance.
    • Warranty: NordicTrack offers strong warranties, typically ranging from 2-10 years depending on the product, with good coverage for motor and frame. The warranty is often seen as more comprehensive than Endurance Fitness's, especially for their high-end models.

5. Delivery and Assembly

  • Endurance Treadmills:
    • Delivery: Delivery times are generally reliable, but customers have mentioned occasional delays during busy periods. It’s always good to check with the company on specific delivery windows.
    • Assembly: Endurance Fitness offers assembly services (for an additional fee), and most customers find the process simple enough to do themselves if they choose to assemble it.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Delivery: NordicTrack’s delivery process is usually efficient. Some models, especially larger ones, may have longer wait times depending on stock availability and location, but many customers have had a good experience with tracking and delivery communication.
    • Assembly: Assembly is available (for an additional fee) and is often recommended for NordicTrack’s more complex machines. The installation process may take longer due to the advanced features and larger equipment.

6. Reputation and Reviews

  • Endurance Treadmills:
    • Pros: Great for users who want affordable, no-frills treadmills for walking or light jogging. The value for money is consistently highlighted in reviews, and their products are generally praised for reliability at a budget price.
    • Cons: The tech and features are basic, which may be a drawback for users seeking advanced interactive workouts or cutting-edge features like iFit.
  • NordicTrack:
    • Pros: Known for high-quality, advanced treadmills with cutting-edge tech and interactive features like iFit, incline/decline functionality, and top-tier motors. Ideal for users who want more than just a treadmill—an interactive fitness experience.
    • Cons: Higher price point may not justify the cost for users who don’t need the advanced features. Some users also report issues with customer service or the complexity of setup.

Excellent Treadmill Experience – Great Value for Money

I had a fantastic experience purchasing this treadmill. The sales team was extremely patient and provided thorough explanations to help me choose the right model. Delivery was fast and the packaging was secure—everything arrived in perfect condition. The treadmill itself feels safe, sturdy, and easy to use. It’s also stylish and runs smoothly. For the price, the quality is outstanding—truly great value for money. After-sales service has been very helpful and responsive as well. Overall, I’m very satisfied and highly recommend it!

Endurance SPT 1 year ownership review

This review is for the Endurance SPT after 1 year of ownership.

I'll start by saying the online support prior to delivery was excellent. Our treadmill was purchased just prior to Christmas 2023 whilst on sale through Endurance's official Amazon shop. We were departing for holidays within a few days and were in the predicament of possibly having the treadmill delivered whilst being away. We reached out and their support was very good and responsive, and were able to organise from memory a next day delivery (we live in Sydney).

The treadmill is a medium size and weight, giving it a solid enough feel in build quality and stability, however remaining light enough to be easily moved around by myself or wife if needed. As other reviews may have mentioned, set up may be quite difficult if done alone, however instructions and steps are itself easy.

Here are my likes, dislikes, and observations from the last year of ownership.

Likes:
User interface - simple as a treadmill should be with large buttons as well as controls on the handles
Running belt - made of a hard-wearing plastic material which provides plenty of grip however also won't cause friction burns on intermittent skin contact (safer with children)
Form factor - Being able to fold up the treadmill and move it around the house is great
Speed and incline options - More than enough settings for 99% of the population
Finish - The materials used and the coatings on the frame are good quality and show almost no wear from a year of use

Dislikes:
Heartrate sensors - Located on the handles, these sensors are probably only for those continuously walking. They take too long to establish a reading (e.g. walking after conducting a run)
Lack of waterproofing - This may sound silly, however I myself generate a lot of sweat during a run, and there are a couple vulnerable points on the treadmill where water/sweat may ingress. These include the speed/incline adjustment buttons on the handles, the usb port, and the speakers. This vulnerability is serious enough that even after a wipe down after every use, I have had an instance where the treadmill was unable to turn on for multiple days in a row due to this. To combat this I now have to drape a towel over the whole upper section of the treadmill when in use by myself.

Other observations:
Size of the track - I am 175cm tall and find the track a perfectly adequate size for running. I would still say the track size does initially take getting used to and you will find yourself consciously aware of the sides and end of the track, however this is no longer a factor.
Somewhat limited quick-select speeds - I think more space on the interface should be dedicated to adjusting the speed and less controlling the incline. Quick-select buttons on the screen interface only go up in speeds of 2km/h up to 10km/h which can mean constantly holding down the increase button for a short while if you want to run at speeds greater than 10km/h (only increases in increments of 0.1km/h per press).
Pricing - I think at the time whilst on sale, this treadmill was a very good purchase and great value, however whilst writing this review there are currently some other comparable treadmills which I would say are very competitively priced.
